Manto Acuífero plot

After her parents divorce, eight-year-old Caro moves with her mother and new boyfriend Felipe from Mexico City to rural Cholula in the state of Puebla. Although her mother makes it clear to her that Felipe is her new father, the thought of never seeing her real father again remains unbearable. Caro doesn't feel at home with the strict Felipe and she ignores the expensive dolls she gets from him. She seeks solace in the large garden of her new home. There she discovers a whole new world.
