Man Who Returned to Life, The plot

David Jamieson feels forced to leave his hometown of Maryland because he is suspected of murdering one of his girlfriends, because she forced David to marry her on the eve of his fiancée. David flees to another city, and takes on a new identity. Then he reads in the newspaper that an old acquaintance of his is being hanged because he is seen as the murderer of his girlfriend.
