Malchiki plot

Zhenya Prokhorov is a boy in the orphanage of the small village of Lipovka. One day, the principal of a boarding school comes along looking for talented singers to join his boys' choir. Zhenya turns out to have a good voice and moves to the boarding school. There he lives with other boys and receives music lessons, in addition to the usual subjects such as mathematics and language. Later, Zhenya is even chosen as a soloist of the choir and becomes popular. When his voice breaks, however, he has to forget his former successes and starts looking for his own path within music.
