Main Street Lawyer plot
"GANGLAND MEETS ITS MASTER!"
Flossie, the girlfriend of the gangster Tony Marco, is released from the state prison. Together with Marco and his lawyer Ballou, Flossie goes to the city of Corinthia to deliver a letter to the District Attorney Abraham Lincoln 'Link' Boggs. This letter is from her deceased cellmate, who was sent to prison by Boggs. There she gave birth to a daughter (Honey) and Boggs adopted her. John Ralston, Corinthia's actual boss, is furious with Boggs when he refuses to sue an employee of his for stealing his weekly wages. Ralston files a lawsuit against Boggs, witnessed by Marco's gang. Lawyer Ballou now sees an opportunity to keep Marco, who has already been charged by prosecutor Donnelly, out of prison.
