Mademoiselle Gigi plot
Paris, 1900. Sixteen-year-old Gigi lives in a world of only women. Her mother has a busy career as a music hall singer and entrusts the education of her daughter to Gigi's grandmother and aunt. The two women try to teach the young lady good manners in order to elope with a rich man. But Gigi, inspired by Anna Karenina and Madame Bovary, does not want to give in to the "slavery of a loveless marriage" and plunges into passionate love.
