The teacher of emotionally traumatized children named Mary takes on new student Lovey, who is considered a negotiator by public schools, psychiatrists and doctors. Even the child's own mother, who is very loving, does not have the resources to reach her 'hopeless' child. As Mary struggles to reach Lovey, she finds herself neglecting her own personal life in the process.
