Louisiana plot

"Truth is Stranger Than Fiction!"

Fourteen-year-old James Houston Davis, the music-loving son of a poor tenant farmer, is determined to get a decent education. He wants to help improve life in his beloved state of Louisiana. With the help of his parents, James graduates from Beech Springs High School and is accepted into Louisiana College, after which he sets out to achieve his further goals.
