Vincent, a young man from Paris, arrives in the Spanish village of Caldeya. He is staying at his friend Reginald's cottage. Vincent meets Pascal Regnier, a writer who is particularly interested in alcohol and love. Pascal spends the summer in Caldeya with his son Daniel. Through Pascal, Vincent teaches Jenny, the owner of a local nightclub. Vincent and Jenny fall in love, but Pascal isn't happy about it.
