Los Dos Mundos de Angelita plot

Angelita, a nine-year-old girl from Puerto Rico, travels with her mother to New York to join her father. However, he has not yet managed to build a life in the Bronx. The world of Puerto Rico, where unemployment is rampant, everyone lives in poverty, but where there is a strong community of family and friends, is in stark contrast to the bleak world of New York. There is also unemployment here for Puerto Ricans and there is a lot of crime, so that the dream of the family is slowly crumbling.
