The sad story of how guerrilla warfare destroys the lives of many families, not least of a few young children, whose lives slowly but surely turn from carefree play to a struggle for survival.
Some very natural and unsophisticated scenes with the children in a film that builds up the impending drama of fleeing and dealing with disappearances and death, steadily, possibly a little too calmly.

Manuel [Hernán Mauricio Ocampo], Julián [Nolberto Sánchez] and albino Poca Luz [Genario Aristizábal] grow up in a close-knit village community in the forests of Colombia and when they are not at school they are absorbed in their greatest passion: football. Although their parents try to shield them from reality, the boys gradually discover that life here is not as straightforward as they thought. Effectively told entirely from the children's perspective. In his feature film debut, Arbeláez shows that he can work excellently with children, as evidenced by the spontaneous-looking play of the youthful cast.
