Lo Scugnizzo plot

Gennarino is a Neapolitan orphan boy. He lives with his adoptive mother Angela, a former famous singer who has now fallen into oblivion. She has a serious illness and together they try to get the necessary money for the right care by singing. But one day Angela is forced to stop her activity and Gennarino decides to join a gang of thieves. He befriends another boy, Mario. When Mario dies, Gennarino ends up in jail. Thanks to some shady friends, he gets the money he needs to restore Angela. But the tragedy is not over yet.
