Hanne Eliassen's son has to undergo a kidney transplant. As a result, her husband finds out that he is not the real father. Deeply sad, Kaare Eliassen withdraws. Desperate, Hanne Eliassen sets out in search of the real father, because her son's life is at stake. The real father is the only one who can act as an organ donor. However, he lives on a remote Norwegian island.
