Les Misérables plot
"In a time of chaos, in a world of change, he was moved by a book he could not read to become a hero he never imagined."
Henri Fontin is a former boxing champion who is now penniless. Ziman, a wealthy Jewish lawyer, runs into Henri during the war years. He asks Fontin to take his family to Switzerland by car, so that they are not arrested by the Nazis. Henri Fontin agrees and during the journey he asks the Zimans to read him from a book. He becomes completely captivated by the story that the Zimans read to him, because it has many similarities with his own life story.
