Les Indes plot

Alejandro, a young Spanish nobleman, is tasked with delivering the portrait of the Spanish Infanta to the young Louis XIV. The portrait is meant to seal the alliance between the two crowns. Fascinated by the promises of the New World—lands to conquer and new trade routes to open—he travels accompanied by two French soldiers. During the journey, the three men penetrate ever deeper into a Europe torn apart by wars and rebellions.
