Lekcja Martwego Jezyka plot
Polish Galicia, the last months of the First World War. Lieutenant of the Uhlans Alfred Kiekeritz (Olgierd Lukasiewicz) has literally reached a dead end. He and his company are stationed at the extreme northern border of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy. He suffers from an advanced form of tuberculosis and has only a few months to live. Knowing that he is doomed like the homeland he served as an officer, he fills his days with useless services. Only the girl manning the train station is concerned about his fate.
