Leïla Née en France plot

Leïla is a French-born young woman with Algerian parents. She is nineteen, a beautiful girl and completely assimilated. She's still going to high school. She falls in love with the young doctor Manu with whom she moves in. A problem arises with her parents about this, but after a conversation everything is back to normal. She is asked to accompany her mother to Algeria for the holidays. She's coming. Her father decides from France that she must stay. She discovers that she cannot go back because the French passport has been invalidated without her knowing. The girl born and raised in France becomes a third world citizen in one fell swoop.
