High school student Andrew, who grew up in Barstow, California, wants to go out into the world. But his devotion to his mother and his growing feelings for new high school student Jenny keep him at home. Andrew's loyalties cause problems as his ambitions fade and he realizes he must make the most difficult decision of his life: choosing himself or the people he loves.
