Le Vent de la Toussaint plot
Nov 1954, Algeria. Doctor Marc (Etienne Chicot), who had worked in Vietnam, settled in the region of Kabylie. There he meets the Algerian Hamrane (Michel Albertini), whom he still knows from Indo-China. Both men respect each other. His daughter Malika (Lydia Andrei) falls in love with him. The feelings are reciprocal. When he tells the father that he wants to marry her, it goes down the wrong way. That's when the FLN (Algerian Liberation Front) rears its head and Hamrane is their local man. He advises Marc to leave the country, but he won't.
