Max, once a promising cartoonist, now works in the company of his father-in-law Hubert Rouvières. On the night before his wedding to his daughter Mélanie, Max is visited by an old man who claims to be his father. Max's father disappeared without a trace twenty years ago and it was assumed that he was no longer alive.
