La Vita Accanto plot
In Vicenza in the 1980s, a wealthy couple is excited about the birth of their daughter. However, the parents discover a birthmark that takes up half the baby's face. This fact is difficult for the mother to accept, to the extent that she rejects her responsibilities as a mother. The baby is raised by her aunt, a famous pianist, and over the years it becomes clear that she has an exceptional musical talent.
