La Vie Moderne plot

The film follows three different people whose lives are not connected, but who have in common that they are all lonely. Claire lives a normal life in a small town. Behind her smile hides a lot of sadness because of the fact that she cannot have children. She visits a doctor in Paris. Marguerite is a teenager who feels "different" and ends up in a home without warmth and love. Jacques is an alcoholic, unemployed, abandoned by his wife who also prevents him from seeing his daughter.
