Ten-year-old Eric is having a hard time dealing with the death of his mother. He is back in another foster home and goes to a new school in the coastal town of Royan. At school Eric meets Yann, a girlish boy his age. Eric discovers that Yann has a secret: he is actually a girl and his name is Marie.
