La Seconda Notte di Nozze plot
Italy, at the end of World War II. Liliana, a widow, is in serious financial trouble and is forced to leave the city of Bologna, where she lives, with her son Nino. She travels to Puglia to stay at the farm of her brother-in-law Giordano. The latter was madly in love with her in his youth. The arrival of Liliana disrupts the usual routine of life on the farm, not only with the unstable Giordano, but also with the two elderly aunts Suntina and Eugenia, who have long held an intense grudge against Liliana's family.
