David Klein, an agoraphobic and megalomaniac young scientist, expresses a very strong contempt for his fellow human beings. Obsessed with a physical paradox, which he can't seem to solve, he decides to clone himself because, according to him, only a brain similar to him can complete his work. However, after some time, the presence of the clone becomes problematic.
