La Lettre Perdue plot

A painting restorer, an unaccommodating and solitary figure, accidentally receives a letter from a young child. A lively correspondence develops between the elderly man and the girl. When he and his grandson plan to meet her, he is faced with a dilemma because she has just written about her incurable illness.
