La Brute plot

Jacques Gauthier is deaf and dumb and blind. He lives isolated from the world and is very lonely. His wife, whom he loves and who serves as his mediator, is his only bond with the others. However, he has many qualities: he is young, beautiful and above all very intelligent. Braille has even allowed him to write a book. But one day, on a cruise, he is found next to a murdered man with the weapon of the crime in his hand. Since this person had made advances to his wife, he is charged and imprisoned. His lawyer, Master Déliot, will try to find out the truth. However, he doesn't believe the testimonies of his strange client at all.
