L'Ombre d'une Chance plot

Mathias (Jean-Pierre Mocky) is a con man who convinces rich people to trade their expensive furniture for old furniture he claims is antique. The people believe him because he pretends to be a rich nobleman. When his son comes to visit with his betrothed, Mathias makes sure he doesn't have an affair with the woman, even though she makes it very clear that she is fascinated by him and finds him attractive. However, the jealous son is not completely convinced.
