L'Inconnue de Montréal plot

Pierre Chambrac, a French industrialist, and Canadian Paul Laforêt, fought together at the front during World War II. Five years later, they meet again by chance in Paris. Pierre is meanwhile engaged to Helen Bering, a beautiful foreign lady. He introduces his friend to her. To his surprise, Helen and Paul disappear shortly afterwards, without leaving a message. He decides to fly to Montreal (Canada), because he suspects that the two have fled to that city. When he arrives there, he makes a surprising discovery.
