L'Île des Veuves plot

Eighteen years after the war, an English veteran returns to Flanders with his wife for a memorial celebration. Yvonne recognizes in the guide Trent to whom she was engaged at the time and whom her husband apparently left behind on the battlefield at the time. She considers leaving her husband, but her daughter rebels.
