L'Exil du Roi Behanzin plot

In 1894, Béhanzin, king of Dahomey in Africa, is defeated by the French colonists. In order to break his power, the French government decides to banish him to the island of Martinique, where he will be locked up in solitary confinement. The only people with whom he may have contact are the few members of his household who chose to accompany him. Régina, a local beauty, cares about the fate of the landless king.
