Kyz-Zhibek plot

Kazakhstan during the sixteenth century, when the people suffered from fierce blood feuds between tribes. Each province had its own Khan and these all tried to outdo the others. Tolegen and the beautiful Zhibek are in love. However, Zhibek has previously rejected the hand of the nobleman Bekejan and this costs Tolegen dearly.
