Ky Nam Inn plot
After the fall of Saigon and the end of the Vietnam War, North and South Vietnam were reunified under communist rule, and a single-party socialist system was established. It was in the mid-1980s, during the period of recovery and change that followed this tumultuous period, that Khang and Ky Nam met. Khang was a young translator who, thanks to his family connections, was on the path to success. On the evening he arrived at his new home, he met Ky Nam, an elderly widow from the south who earned a living by cooking. The two found solace in each other.
