To ensure that the Algerian Saïda, who is illegally in Berlin, is not sent back to her home country, the hospital doctor Katya takes her to her home that she shares with the unemployed Hendrik, with whom she has entered into a marriage of convenience. However, when Katya catches both of her roommates having sex, she accuses her boyfriend of taking advantage of Saïda's plight.
