At the request of his mother, the old Italian Guiseppe is looking for a woman in the former Yugoslavia. He meets a multitude of people, each of whom has suffered in his own way from the unrest in the area. He regularly loses sight of the main goal of his journey and gets carried away by people who want to put him in front of them.
