Kronika Zhavého Léta plot

In 1947 life in the border countries of the Czech Republic is not easy. The Sudeten Germans have been expelled and new inhabitants now populate the empty lands and villages. Some people have honest intentions and some just want to gain wealth and power. Honest people are mayor Bagár his wife Zdena, secretary of the communist party Galcík, policeman Kalenda, and Mariechen, the young daughter of German anti-fascist Palme. They all want to build a peaceful and honest existence, but come into conflict with the Rosmus family, large landowners who only want more.
