Three men are drinking in a bar on Christmas Eve: Matti's wife has had a child, but he thinks his friend Erkki is the father; Erkki himself contemplates suicide due to his ongoing illness and their old friend Raumo happens to be in town only to discover that his ex-wife has committed suicide. Actually, Matti's plan was to kill Erkki tonight for his underhanded deception, but now that they've run into Raumo, the plans change slightly.
