King of Alcatraz plot

"He changed his prison stripes for a pirate's hat !"

Steve Murkil has escaped from Alcatraz prison. Murkil goes incognito aboard a passenger ship in hopes of escaping conviction. Murkil, along with his accomplice Lou Gedney, take control of the steamship, endangering the lives of the passengers and crew. Nurse Dale Borden can help an injured passenger with the help of a radio link to the shore. Radio operators Raymond Grayson and Robert MacArthur team up to overpower Murkil and Gedney. But when Raymond and Robert tell Dale where the alarm guns are, she is overpowered.
