Kimi wa Hadashi no Kami wo Mitaka plot
In a forgotten corner of northern Japan, the confident Shigeru and the shy Shinji have been best friends since childhood. Shigeru, an ambitious hobby painter, admires the seemingly unapproachable flautist Haruyo from afar and secretly paints her portrait for a national competition. His friend Shinji is in love with Hitomi, the daughter of the local grocery store, who particularly likes Shigeru because he once took care of her in a critical situation while they were children.
