Kimi Ga Odoru Natsu plot

Five years ago, Shinpei was a flag bearer for team Ichimujin at the Yosakoi festival in Kochi (Japan). Now living in Tokyo, he is trying to become a cameraman while working as Shiro Takaki's assistant cameraman. Although he is busy with his work, he loses his confidence. One day he learns that his mother is in the hospital and he returns to Kochi for the first time in five years. At the hospital, Shinpei meets Sakura Nogami who is the younger sister of his ex-girlfriend Kaori Nogami. He then promised Sakura that they would dance together at the Yosakoi festival one day. However, Sakura suffers from a terminal illness that hasn't survived anyone for more than five years, so it just might be her last summer.
