Kathleen Mavourneen plot

Kathleen, the daughter of a poor tenant farmer, dreams of marrying her beloved Terrence. The dream is interrupted when the lord of the manor shows interest in Kathleen and forces her father to marry her to forgive his father's debt. Unfortunately, the squire loses interest in Kathleen when a potential lucrative acquisition arrives in the person of the exceptionally wealthy Lady Clancarthy.
