Karei-naru Ichizoku plot

The Manpyo mansion has floral wallpaper, brocade sofas, many Greek sculptures, stained glass windows, many crystal chandeliers and three beds in the master bedroom. That's because the master of the house, a powerful banker (Shin Saburi), has a wily, headstrong mistress (Machiko Kyo) as well as a meek old-fashioned woman. The woman is wearing kimonos. The mistress looks like she's dressed for a nightclub. The woman likes to stay in her own quarters, in the only traditional Japanese part of the house. But sometimes, when her husband is in a particularly evil mood, he forces her to share the bedroom with the mistress, who finds the whole situation immensely amusing...
