Jumbo plot
The young shy Jeanne is fascinated by merry-go-rounds and guards an amusement park at night. She still lives in the parental home where she maintains a good relationship with her mother Margarette. Never heard of objectophilia? Then this movie is worth watching. A very special story, starring Jumbo, a fairground attraction. stupid? Compare it with a car called Christine....(Christine (1983)). No one thought that was stupid. I found this film fascinating, partly because of the hidden things. Just search for this on the internet. And to the backgrounds of this film. Unfortunately, the ending was a bit rushed. That could have been much better.

A film with many similarities to Titane (Film, 2021) that was released a year earlier. No thriller or violence in the film here. Jumbo is more of a drama, but the link is of course quickly made when someone feels passionately and even erotically connected to a machine.
I can best follow the comments below here. In terms of plot development, it is somewhat unclear where the film wants to go. The film lacks depth of character. Although I thought Merlant's role was quite OK. Not that we get to know the how and what, but come on.
Visually well done here and there. The light effects, for example, very atmospheric and mysterious, but also the scenes with the engine oil were certainly successful.
