Juliana, a twelve-year-old girl, lives with her mother and stepfather. She suffers from the tyranny of the latter and decides to run away from home and work for Don Pedro. But only boys are allowed to work at Don Pedro. She cuts her hair and with the right clothes on she can pass for a boy. Then the job begins: singing on the buses, stealing, dancing in the street. This does not solve all problems yet.
