Judgment Day: The John List Story plot

John List looks like a normal man at first glance. He has a good job, attends church regularly, and is a good husband and father of three children. However, as a child he was sexually abused and his mother tyrannized him with religious ideas for years. Because of his rigid and inflexible attitude to life, John is increasingly unable to cope with the complexity and pressure of his work and family life. He falls into a depression, loses his job and when he has almost lost all his money, something inside him snaps. One cold winter morning, he kills his wife and three children. He then drives to the airport and disappears without a trace. However, there is one man who is determined - even after eighteen years - to put this killer behind bars.
