Joyu wa Nakanai plot

Rie Sonoda loses her job as an actress due to a scandal. For the first time in ten years, she decides to return to her hometown of Kumamoto. She reluctantly accepts the challenge of making an in-depth documentary with a young director, Seno Saki, who wants to switch to drama films. Due to their different future plans, the two often clash, which makes filming difficult. Not long after, news spreads in the small town that Sonoda has returned, despite her family's knowledge.
