Joe Palooka in Fighting Mad plot
Joe Palooka, the world's heavyweight boxing champion, wins his fight and he keeps his crown, but he loses his eyesight after the fight. His blindness is kept a secret by his manager Knobby Walsh. Joe's eyesight recovers after surgery, but he is sentenced to a year of rest. Joe therefore announces his early retirement. Knobby then buys part of another boxer's contract, unaware that this boxer is being manipulated by gangsters.
