Jeanne Poisson, Marquise de Pompadour plot
Jeanne Poisson was married off by her ambitious mother to Charles-Guillaume Lenormand d'Étioles. Some time later, she falls in love with the young and handsome French king Louis XV. The love is mutual and Jeanne Poisson leaves her only daughter with her family and goes to live at the castle in Versailles. As Marquise de Pompadour, she soon becomes the king's counselor and his closest friend.
