Jausmai plot

World War II is coming to an end and widower Kasparas moves in with his brother Andrius, who lives on the other side of the bay. Andrius his wife Egne is in love with Kasparas. Her relatives and a group of Lithuanian nationalists want to flee to Sweden. Egne tries to get her husband to make the journey together in order to win the affection of Kasparas. However, Kasparas chooses to return home, while Andrius is captured by guards at the border. Nine years pass before the brothers see each other again.
