Japonika Uirusu plot

A mysterious, contagious disease called 'Canie Virus' that started in northeast China has spread to Japan. The country panics as the government tries to maintain peace and security. Yoichiro and Rinko live together in Tokyo, although their relationship is far from ideal. But when Yoichiro's brother Koichi becomes infected and dies, Rinko goes to their hometown anyway. Along the way, they encounter suspicious people and strange happenings. After a grueling journey they arrive in the village, but it appears that the disease has already struck there too.
