Jahrestage plot

New York, from August 1967 to 1968: Gesine Cressphal lives there with her 11-year-old daughter Marie and works as a bilingual secretary at a bank. Unlike Marie, for whom German is a totally foreign language, it is difficult for Gesine to accept New York as her home. She is a woman in her mid-thirties, with a stubborn fragility that leaves a strong impression on her boss Rosny. He now tries to convince her to take a trip to the changing Czechoslovak Republic.
